Step inside…
Originally home to Capital & Counties Bank in the 1800s and later Lloyds Banking Group, Bank House is a large four-storey townhouse, prominently placed on Fairford High Street.
The building has undergone a major transformation throughout to be reimagined as a luxury getaway.
Many of the original bank features have been transformed into practical spaces; The Bank Manager’s office is now home to a board game and reading room with a cocktail cabinet and the original bank vault located in the basement has been reimagined as a private cinema and games room, perfect for escaping from the outdoors and switching off from the world.
The house boasts a bold interior design throughout, blending contemporary furnishings with locally-sourced curated antiques.
The first floor is home to a very well-equipped kitchen, a large open-plan dining/living space with striking artwork from London’s Maddox Gallery and local artists, and a large lounge. The dining room boasts a large, reclaimed teak monastery table.
Upon arriving at Bank House, you are greeted with a generous welcome package, including sample wines from the renowned Three Choirs Vineyard.
The second floor boasts two adjacent super-king bedrooms and modern bathroom. Both bedrooms offer luxury Mattison Beds, soft gowns, and calming pillow spray. The curated furnishings include reclaimed antique drawers from Burford.
To the rear of Bank House you will find a long lavender-lined private garden surrounded by Cotswold stone walls, leading to a patio with a table and chairs under a canopy for al fresco dining. Perfect for relaxing in the sun and enjoying wines from the Three Choirs Vineyard provided in the welcome pack.
The private garden also houses a bike rack for guest use.
