Southrop is a quaint Gloucestershire village located on the River Leach. Brimming with history, the village is home to St Peter’s Church dating back to the 12th century.

Dating back to the 17th century, the traditional cotswold stone cottage has been lovingly restored, preserving its original character and charm.

Upon entering the escape, you are immediately met with complete peace and tranquility. The intimate underfloor-heated lounge provides a cosy space to relax in front of the traditional log burner; a favourite spot for pets. A dog bed, bowl and treats are of course provided.

Larger windows let light beam through into the lounge and kitchen; creating the most dreamy morning backdrop.

The modern kitchen has been sympathetically designed to blend seamlessly into the character of the cottage.

The kitchen is well-equipped with all the essentials for cooking with the family - a great time to enjoy the complementary bottle of wine provided upon arrival.

The master bedroom delicately balances intricate wallpaper with traditional dark wood furnishings and fitting artwork. The room is a perfect place to unwind and get lost in bedtime reading with your favourite books.

Perfect for long stays with the family, the second bedroom is home to two single beds, wardrobe, chest of drawers and armchair.

Much of the original art and antiques are on sale at the cottage, allowing you to take a piece of the cottage home with you.

The original pieces are sourced from around the world, adding to the unique, homely feel to the cottage. Hours can be lost meandering around the cottage taking in the works.

The Gardens

The formally landscaped gardens boast well-tended topiary, wisteria and a mix of colourful plants. There are sun loungers, spaces for outdoor dining and benches throughout the garden for stopping to admire the garden. Don’t forget to look out for fish in the pond!
