Step inside…
Originally a chapel dating back to 1839, The Old Chapel has since been transformed into an open-plan holiday home with an opulent feel.
After entering The Old Chapel through a large curved oak door, you immediately enter an inviting boot room and log store.
With British weather making a muddy walk inevitable all year round on a country ramble, this is great space for shaking off before retiring to the cosy lounge.
The interior design at The Old Chapel has been carefully curated over many years, blending influence from all over the world.
As part of the delicate restoration, The Old Chapel has retained many of its exposed Cotswold stone walls, which have been blended into the design of the cottage with natural colours used throughout.
The building has retained its large chapel windows, allowing a vast amount of light into the open-plan space that beams off the Cotswold stone walls.
The lounge features a cosy log burner, ideal after returning from a long ramble.
The downstairs also features a well-equipped kitchen, delicately balancing quaint design with functionality.
The mezzanine level is a relaxing space, ideal for watching movies or enjoying music with a Bang and Olufsen sound system. There is also a desk and chair, perfect for scribing postcards to send home.
From the mezzanine level you can take in the granduer of the original building features such as the high-vaulted ceiling and chapel windows.
Luscious green plants trail up the Cotswold stone building, giving a magical feel to the home.
The front border and path to the entrance has been beautifully maintained with vibrant plants and flowers, which you can take in from the al fresco dining area to the side of the building.
The south-facing building frontage comes to life when the sun passes over each day.
